WhatsApp Founder Jan Koum Quits Over Facebook's User Privacy

On Monday, the Washington post reported that Jan Koum, the CEO of Facebook subsidiary WhatsApp, is leaving the company. Koum is leaving following disputes over “the popular messaging service’s strategy and Facebook’s attempts to use its personal data and weaken its encryption." Koum will additionally step down from Facebook’s board. It comes at a time when Facebook is currently undergoing scrutiny over the company’s desire to for people's personal data and sell it to advertisers.
